Convert HEIC, PNG, JPG and WebP photos to JPG, PNG or WebP. Add a whole batch, set the quality, and download each file or everything as one ZIP.
Nothing is uploaded. Your photos are converted inside your own browser and never leave your device. No signup, no watermark, no limit on the number of files.
Higher keeps more detail and makes bigger files. 90% suits most photos.

Good to know
- Phone photos stay the right way up: the rotation stored in the file is applied before converting.
- JPG has no transparency, so converting to JPG fills transparent areas with white. PNG and WebP keep transparency.
- Converting re-encodes the picture, so camera metadata (EXIF: date, camera settings, GPS location) is not copied to the new file. That also means a converted photo no longer reveals where it was taken. To see what a photo carries first, open it in the EXIF viewer.
- Large photos, 48 MP and up, take a few seconds each. If a browser cannot hold one at full size, it is saved at the largest size that browser allows and labelled so in the list.
Which format to choose
JPG is the safe choice for photographs: small, and accepted by every device, editor, print lab and upload form. PNG is lossless and can be transparent, which suits graphics, screenshots, cut-outs and working files you will edit again. WebP makes the smallest files for a website and every current browser displays it.
What converting changes
Converting re-encodes the picture. JPG and WebP compress lossily, so use a high quality for files you will print or edit. PNG keeps every pixel but makes large files from photos. A converted file never gains detail the original did not have, and camera metadata is not copied.
Formats it reads
HEIC from iPhones and iPads, PNG, JPG and WebP. Each file is recognised by its content, not its name, so a PNG renamed to .jpg is still read correctly. HEIC is read, not written: hardly anything outside Apple’s own apps accepts it as a delivery format.

Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, on your device. The files are never sent to Pinnacle Edits or to anyone else, and the page keeps working if you go offline after it has loaded.
Which formats can I convert?
HEIC, PNG, JPG and WebP can go in; JPG, PNG and WebP can come out. Saving WebP needs a browser that can encode it, such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox.
Is there a limit on the number or size of files?
There is no set limit. Files are converted one at a time, so a large batch simply takes longer. Very large photos depend on your device’s memory; if a browser cannot hold one at full size, it is converted at the largest size that browser allows and the file is labelled so.
Does converting reduce quality?
Converting to PNG loses nothing. Converting to JPG or WebP compresses the picture; at the default 90% quality the difference is not visible at normal sizes, and you can raise it to 100%.
