How much does YouTube video editing cost?
YouTube editing is $15 to $20 per hour of editing time. A straightforward ten-minute talking-head video is usually a few hours; heavy b-roll, multi-camera or graphics-led videos take longer. We estimate before starting so there are no surprises.
Why hourly instead of per video?
Because a ten-minute video can be a two-hour cut or a twelve-hour one depending on how much footage and how many graphics are involved. Hourly means a simple video does not subsidise a complex one. Monthly retainers are available once we know your typical volume.
How long does a video take to come back?
Three to five days for most videos. If you publish to a fixed weekly slot, tell us the day and we will work back from it. Rush turnaround is available when a video has to go out sooner.
Will it match my channel style?
That is the main thing we set up front. Send two or three uploads you are happy with and we work from those — your pacing, your text treatment, your music level. A style reference is far more accurate than a written brief.
Do you make thumbnails?
Yes, as part of the edit. Thumbnails are built from frames that actually exist in the video, at the sizes YouTube serves on desktop and mobile, so the text still reads at phone size.
Can you source b-roll and music?
Yes. Send your own where you have it, and we source stock footage and licensed music where a section has nothing to cut to. Tell us if you have a music library subscription and we will pull from that instead.
How do I send large files?
Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer — send a link rather than uploading twice. We work from your originals and return the finished export plus the project file on request.
Can you also cut the video into Shorts?
Yes. Clipping a long-form upload into vertical shorts is handled as short-form editing, priced from $20 per video, and it is much cheaper when done in the same pass as the main edit.
Can I see an edit before committing?
Yes. Send one video and we will edit it free, with no card required. Judge whether it sounds like your channel — that is the only question that matters with an outsourced editor.
