Funeral & Memorial Photos
Funeral and Memorial Photos, Restored by Hand
The photo chosen for the service is often the only good one there is, and it is faded, creased or shared with ten other people. We restore it, make it a portrait of one person and size it for the print, all by hand.

What We Do
From an Old Print to a Memorial Portrait
Damage Repaired
Tears, creases, scratches, stains, fading and water damage repaired by hand, so the photo looks the way it did when it was new.
A Portrait From a Group Photo
One person cut out of a wedding, holiday or family photo, with anything hidden behind someone else rebuilt, and their face kept exactly as it was.
A Calm Background
A busy room or street replaced with a plain or softly blurred background, the way memorial portraits are usually shown.
Clothing and Details
Sunglasses, glare on glasses or a name badge removed, hair tidied, or a jacket taken from another photo of the same person.
Sized for the Print
Enlarged and sharpened for the size you need: a framed portrait, an easel print, the order of service, the obituary or a headstone plaque.

We confirm before you pay
We look at the damage and reply to confirm whether we can meet your date, and what it will cost.
We restore it by hand
You see the restored photo before it is final and can ask for changes. Revisions are included.
Files ready to print
A full-resolution file for the print shop or funeral home, and a smaller copy for the obituary, slideshows and messages.
Most restorations take 24 to 48 hours. If the service is sooner, tell us, and we will say honestly whether we can make it.
Common Questions
Funeral photo questions
Can you restore a photo in time for the funeral?
Tell us the date of the service when you send the photo. We look at the damage and reply to confirm whether we can meet your date, and the price, before you pay. Most restorations take 24 to 48 hours.
How much does it cost?
Restoration is priced by the work involved, from $3.50 per photo for light repair to $10 for severe damage. We confirm the price for your photo, including any portrait work such as a new background, before you pay.
Can you make a portrait of one person from a group photo?
Yes. We cut them out, rebuild anything that was hidden behind another person and set them on a plain or soft background. Their face is restored, never reshaped.
The only photo we have is small or blurry. Can it be enlarged?
Often, yes. We rebuild detail by hand and size the photo for the print you need. If a size would look soft, we tell you before you order the print.
The photo is stuck to the glass of its frame. What should I do?
Do not pull it off: the surface of the print can tear away and stay on the glass. Photograph it through the glass in daylight, with the camera straight on to keep reflections small, and send us that photo.
Will the photo still look like them?
Yes. Every photo is restored by hand by our editors, not by AI, and their features are kept exactly as they were. You see the result before it is final and can ask for changes.
What files do we get?
A full-resolution JPEG for the print shop or funeral home, and a smaller copy for the obituary, slideshows and messages. If the printer needs a particular size or a PDF, tell us.
Are our photos kept private?
Yes. Your photos are used only for your order and are never used to train AI.
