Events and Conferences
Every camera synced, speakers made audible over the PA, stage lighting graded to match across angles — delivered as a highlight reel and the full record. Single day or a whole festival.
Why It Is Hard
Events have no second take. Whatever the cameras caught is what exists, and the person who mattered most probably walked behind a pillar during the one moment you needed. The edit is therefore mostly a recovery job: finding the usable angle, at the usable moment, from footage nobody controlled.
Audio is the hardest part. A room with a PA, applause, music and a speaker on a radio mic produces four sources that are each wrong in a different way. The desk feed is clean but lifeless, the camera mic has the room but also the room, and the radio mic drops out exactly when somebody turns their head. Building a usable track means moving between them moment by moment rather than picking one.
Then there is the lighting. Stage LEDs and coloured uplighting mean the same second can be magenta on the wide and neutral on the close, and the cut between them is jarring unless the angles are matched deliberately.
Weddings are handled separately with their own tiers — wedding video editing from $150. Cutting the event down for social is short-form editing from $20 a video.
What Is Included
Every angle synced by audio waveform and cut to whoever is speaking or performing — stage wide, close, audience and roving, held in sync across hours of runtime.
A two to three minute cut that carries the energy of the day, built for the recap email, the socials and next-year promotion to people who did not attend.
The complete record as well — keynotes, sessions and performances cut in full, chaptered so an attendee can find the twenty minutes they actually want.
Desk feed combined with camera and radio mic audio, room echo reduced, and applause and music balanced so a speaker is not buried under the PA.
Stage LEDs, coloured uplighting and window daylight corrected and matched across cameras, so the same moment is not orange on one angle and blue on another.
Conferences and festivals cut as a set, with a per-day recap and one overall film, all held to the same look across the whole run.
Who It Suits
How It Runs
Every camera, plus the desk audio feed and any radio mic recordings. For a full day a hard drive is usually simpler than a cloud upload.
Highlight reel, full sessions, per-day recaps, social cutdowns — and the running order, so we know what was meant to be the centrepiece.
Cameras synced, audio rebuilt from the cleanest source at each moment, venue lighting graded and matched, and each deliverable cut from the same master.
Up to three revision rounds on a timestamped link. Most notes are about who got left out of the highlight reel, which is easy to fix and worth checking.
Common Questions
Event video is quoted per event, because a single-camera two-hour ceremony and a three-day four-camera conference with per-day recaps are not comparable jobs. Tell us cameras, runtime and deliverables and we will quote the real number.
Both, if you want them. A two to three minute highlight reel for recap emails and social, plus the full sessions cut and chaptered so attendees can find the part they care about. Tell us the target lengths when you send the job.
Yes, by audio waveform, which holds across hours of runtime where other sync methods drift. Send every camera including the roving one — reaction and audience shots almost always come from it.
Usually. Send every source you have — desk feed, camera audio and radio mic recordings. Each is wrong in a different way, so we move between them moment by moment rather than picking one and processing it hard.
Yes, and it is the main grading task on event footage. Coloured LEDs and uplighting render very differently across sensors, so the same second can be magenta on one angle and neutral on another. Matching the angles is what makes the cuts invisible.
Yes. Multi-day events are cut as a set — a recap per day plus one overall film — all held to the same look, so day three does not look like it was shot by a different crew.
Next-day recaps are possible on rush, which is what most conferences want for the closing session or the follow-up email. Tell us the deadline when you book rather than after the event.
Yes, but as a separate service with its own tiers — Silver, Gold and Platinum from $150 per wedding. Weddings need a different structure and a different pace from corporate events, so they are priced and handled separately.
Yes. Send one session or one segment and we will cut it free, with no card required. Judge the audio and the multi-camera cutting first.
Events are one format of several. These are the rest.
